Mid-race flat tire knocks out Ashton Winger in Alabama Gang 100 at Talladega

Losing Friday's $12,000-to-win opener to rain showers, Ashton Winger joined the newly-rebranded World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Saturday for the Alabama Gang 100.

Laying down the sixth-fastest lap in his qualifying group, Winger ran second in his heat race and earned a third-row starting spot for the 100-lap main event. Ashton ran inside the Top-10 before a flat tire relegated him to a 15th-place finish.

Winger currently sits 15th in the series point standings.
