Ashton Winger rolls to Midwest for Illini 100 with World of Outlaws
Following the tour to the Land of Lincoln, Ashton Winger was one of 42 World of Outlaw Late Model Series entries at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway on Friday afternoon for the first night of the Illini 100 weekend.
Laying down the quickest lap in his qualifying group, Winger finished runner-up in his heat race and started eighth in the $12,000-to-win opener. Ashton was running inside the Top-5 when he jumped the cushion and hit the wall which ended his night.
The following night, Ashton started 12th in the $20,000-to-win finale and recorded a 20th-place outing after 60 laps.
Winger is currently 15th in the World of Outlaw points standings.
