Winger fourth and eighth in Southbound Throwdown weekend at All-Tech Raceway
Continuing to follow the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series, Ashton Winger was one of 34 Late Models checked in at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Friday afternoon for the $5,000-to-win opener.
After slapping the wall in qualifying and not recording a timed lap, Winger drove from the rear of his B-Main to earn a spot in the 30-lap feature. Powering passed 12 competitors, Ashton recorded a fourth-place finish and was the evening's hard charger.
Getting a much better qualifying lap on Saturday, Ashton finished third in his heat race which placed him 11th in the A-Main starting lineup. With $15,000 one the line, Winger recorded a Top-10 finish in eighth.
Winger is currently ninth in the HTFSDS point standings.
