Fifth-place finish with Comp Cams Super Dirt Series in surprise visit to Boothill Speedway
With Mother Nature washing out events close to home, Ashton Winger made the long haul to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Saturday afternoon for the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series-sanctioned Ronny Adams Memorial.
Clicking off the fourth-quickest lap in his qualifying group, Winger started second and finished second in his heat race to start on the fourth-row of the 40-lap feature. With $10,000 up for grabs, Ashton made up a couple spots and snuck into the fifth-position with just two laps remaining. Ashton rounded out the Top-5 as he trailed Bobby Pierce, Kyle Beard, BJ Robinson, and Spencer Hughes.
