Winger finishes 13th with World of Outlaws at 411
Thursday saw Ashton Winger return to the driver’s seat of the Jeff Mathews Motorsports No. 12 Super Late Model for the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series-sanctioned Seymour Showdown at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.).
Following a sixth-place finish in his heat, Winger raced his way into the main event with a fourth-to-second showing in his B-Main. Starting the $20,000-to-win A-Main in 20th, Ashton passed seven cars in the 40-lapper to finish 13th.
For the two-day Alabama Gang 100 on Friday at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.), Ashton came in seventh in his time trial group before placing seventh in his 20-lap prelim.
On Saturday, Winger took part in his heat race but was a scratch from his 10-lap consolation event, ending his bid into the $50,000-to-win A-Main.
