Top-10 finish in Southbound Throwdown at All-Tech Raceway
With Mother Nature condensing the two-day program into a single night, Ashton Winger invaded All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Friday afternoon for the inaugural Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series opener.
Drawing 40 Super Late Models for the Southbound Throwdown, Winger qualified second-fastest in his group before placing first in his heat. Starting on the pole for the $20,000-to-win A-Main, Ashton ran second the first half of the race but wasn’t able to recover after dropping back to sixth on a lap-22 restart. He went onto place seventh in the 50-lap affair.
