Ashton Winger runner-up with World of Outlaws in Swainsboro Raceway finale
As the series came closer to home for the Mathews Motorsports team, Ashton Winger checked into Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway on Friday afternoon for the first night of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series doubleheader.
Finishing 17th in the $12,000-to-win opener, Winger found more speed on Saturday evening as he grabbed a heat race victory and started third in the $15,000-to-win feature. Ashton raced inside the Top-3 and brought home a runner-up finish to Bobby Pierce in the finale.
Winger currently sits 15th in the World of Outlaw Point Standings.
