Ashton Winger survives DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park with World of Outlaws
With six straight days of racing on tap, Ashton Winger and his Mathews Motorsports team checked in with the World of Outlaw Late Model Series at Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) for the DIRTcar Nationals.
Winger kicked off his week by making both $7,000-to-win openers, finishing 20th on Monday and 22nd on Tuesday. Ashton was placed in the first split feature on Wednesday and finished just outside the Top-10 in 11th.
With points counting for the rest of the weekend, Ashton was unable to make any of the weekend main events after he finished outside of a transfer spot in his last chance showdowns.
